Mirror of ElectoWiki

The original has been locked to new accounts for a long time due to spam/server issues, so I set up a mirror on a wiki farm and fixed some of the issues: https://electowiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

It may continue as an “official fork” or may replace the original; we’re not sure yet. Anyway, check it out, comment, make edits, etc.

Are you the owner of the ElectoWiki?
If you like we can try to put it under the CES domain for wiki.electionscience.org
Would that be interesting?

The original was created by Dan Keshet in 2005, mostly administered by Rob Lanphier, and has the domain https://wiki.electorama.com/, which is owned by Rob (I think).

Sounds like Rob would rather have this be an “official fork” at a new domain and keep the original mostly-frozen, rather than actually redirect the original domain, and Rob registered the domain electowiki.org for that purpose, and created a new logo.

My goal was just to fix the technical problems and open it up to editing again, which had been in discussion in a few places by Jameson Quinn, etc. So far, I’m the only one who’s contributed any new content, but I just made it two weeks ago.

It’s now at electowiki.org, and I’m adding articles like https://electowiki.org/wiki/2012_Occupy_Wall_Street_polls

I made To Do lists at https://electowiki.org/wiki/Category_talk:Approval_voting_elections and https://electowiki.org/wiki/Category_talk:Score_voting_elections if anyone wants to help
