That should be interesting since Maine awards electoral votes by congressional district as well as state wide and RCV isn’t precinct (or congressional district) summable. I wonder if they plan on going back to square one to count statewide or not.
The results in Maine will be very interesting to look at.
For the presidential general election I don’t think it will make much difference since Maine’s electors aren’t winner take all anyways and there are 4 of them, so an even number.
Still in these 2 party system general elections RCV will just eliminate the non-viable 3rd parties off the top and then actually elect the preferred R or D without vote splitting.
The Maine governor’s election is the one I would want to see results for if they ever rule it constitutional for the general election.
