Voting with your feet

We can agree that preventing people’s right to vote is wrong. But what if what if people are voting on whether to leave their home and brave a % chance of falling ill or to stay home and hide? Then we seem to think that suppressing the vote is a good thing and forcing the choice is how we should operate.

This is the wrong way to look at it. No one should be forced to vote to leave their home but likewise no one should be forced to vote to stay in their home. A community that supposedly loves democracy and loves people voting should encourage people to have the freedom on how to vote. We aren’t talking about being voting to kill with a gun we are talking about people voting to exercise the blessings of liberty that are part of what makes a more perfect union.

Is this about the primary elections being held without no-excuse mail-in voting?

What I don’t understand is why the pandemic (or the stay-at-home order) is not already a valid excuse.
